4 Days trip from Marrakech to Desert
DAY 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley :
4 days trip from marrakech to desert, starts in the morning towards Ouarzazate through the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains.You will enjoy a snaky road, beautiful landscapes with different colors and the Berber villages along the way between Marrakech and Ouarzazate, which is the doorway to the Sahara desert.
The next destination is a UNESCO world heritage site called Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, classified since 1986 where a few Berber families are still living supported by UNESCO. Ait Ben Haddou is one of many locations served as natural decoration for many movies which were shot in the Area such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Jesus of Nazareth”. With your guide you take a walk across the dried river to discover Ait Ben Haddou that dominates the Kasbah, once you get to the top of the hill.
After we had stopped for lunch we drive to Ouarzazate. There we will visit the Filmstudio and Kasbah Taourirt. Then we are taking the Road of 1000 Kasbahs, to get to Skoura Palm Grove where the most beautiful Kasbahs of Southern Morocco are located (Amridil Kasbah). The next city is Kelaa Magouna a Berber city that celebrates the Festival of Roses each year. It takes place every first week of May, and it is an opportunity for locals to meet and sell the rose water and other products made from the rose. We will continue our day excursion to Valley of Roses until we arrive in Dades Valley.
DAY 2 : Dades Valley – Todra Valley – Desert – Camel Trek :
After breakfast, we take direction towards Todra Valley. We will walk through the valley and afterwards departure to join Erfoud by Tinjdad Palm Grove. In Erfoud we make a break for lunch and visit the marble and fossil production workshop before we go towards the amazing dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will bring you to a beautiful hotel near the dunes, where you will stay over night.
DAY 3 : Desert Excursions – Camel trek :
After breakfast you will venture into the charismatic region. You will have the opportunity to share a tea with a nomad family, visit the black desert and its fossils. We are driving to black people and listen to typical music and afterwards we stop for a lunch, when you will taste a delicious Berber Pizza. When we arrive back at the hotel you will rest at the swimming pool. After that you will prepare yourself to start your Camel Trek Experience to the heart of the dunes, where you will spend an unforgetable night at the Berber Camp – under the stars of the Sahara
DAY 4 : Desert to Marrakech :
You will wake up early to enjoy the wonderful sunrise over the dunes, then your camel trek will take you back to the hotel to then drive to Marrakech.
